All original songs are written and sung by Chad Sanders.
Chad records his own vocals and guitar, while additional instrumentation may be created using AI-assisted virtual instruments and multitrack production. The sections below explain exactly what that means and how the process works from a blank page to a finished recording.
The song comes first. The tools used to complete it are secondary. Everything on this page is about being clear and direct about what those tools are.
From an Idea to a Finished Song
Chad writes the lyrics, song concept, chord structure and musical direction for his original music. The process usually starts with Chad recording his vocal and guitar performance before the song is developed into a full arrangement.
The idea for a song might come from a conversation, a story, a personal experience, or simply a phrase or chord progression that catches his attention. From that starting point, lyrics and a full song structure are developed before any production begins.
Recording the Performance
Vocals and guitar are recorded into ACID Pro as individual tracks. Just like a traditional recording studio, multiple takes may be recorded so the strongest performance can be selected. Timing, levels, unwanted noise and other recording issues are cleaned up before the arrangement is built around the performance.
Chad performs and records his own lead vocal on every track. Where guitar is heard in a recording and credited to Chad, that is his own guitar performance captured directly into the session.
The vocal and guitar performances are real recorded performances by Chad Sanders, not generated or synthesized.
Building the Arrangement
Rather than hiring a full group of studio musicians for every release, Chad uses a combination of his own playing, multitrack production and AI-assisted virtual instruments to create the parts needed for the arrangement. These may include drums, bass, fiddle, steel guitar, keyboards or other supporting parts depending on what the song calls for.
AI-assisted virtual instrumentation is a production tool used in place of hiring additional session musicians. It does not write the song, does not create the vocal performance, and does not determine the direction of the music. That is all established before any virtual instrument is brought into the session.
The result is that Chad can produce a full-sounding arrangement as an independent artist without requiring a full Nashville studio band for every release.
Multitrack Production
The individual parts are layered inside ACID Pro much like they would be in a professional recording studio. Vocals, guitar and supporting instruments remain on separate tracks so their timing, volume, placement and sound can be adjusted independently.
This is standard multitrack production practice. A professional studio operates the same way regardless of whether the musicians performing the parts are in the room or delivered through virtual instruments. What matters is the arrangement, the performance, and the creative direction applied to the session.
Mixing and Cleanup
Once the arrangement is complete, the recording is cleaned up and mixed. Levels are balanced, vocals are placed correctly against the instruments, EQ and compression are applied where needed, and the mix is checked on different speakers and headphones.
This stage is about making the recording sound coherent, controlled and finished. Every song goes through this process before it is considered ready for release.
The Final Recording
The completed mix is exported as professionally as Chad can produce it independently without hiring a Nashville recording studio and full session band for every song.
The goal is a recording that can stand alongside commercially released music. Independent production tools have reached the point where this is achievable for a songwriter who is willing to put in the time and work involved in each stage of the process.
The words, stories, chords, melodies, creative direction and lead vocals come from Chad. AI-assisted instruments and modern production tools are part of the independent recording process used to turn those songs into finished recordings. Chad also plays the guitar heard on his recordings where guitar is credited to him.
